The 2010 BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation will be played Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16 at Bright’s Creek Golf Club, The Carolina Country Club and Thornblade Club. The BMW Charity Pro-Am presented by SYNNEX Corporation is the only tournament on the Nationwide Tour where amateurs and celebrities are grouped with Nationwide Tour professionals in a four-day better-ball competition over three courses. Amateurs, celebrities and pros rotate between three courses on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the 14 lowest scoring pro-amateur/pro-celebrity teams advancing to play Sunday's final round at Thornblade Club. Celebrities play once at each course on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Professional winner of the overall 72-hole event will take home $108,000 from the total purse of $600,000. Amateurs and celebrities compete for individual prizes and cash donations to the charity of their choice out of the beneficiaries selected by South Carolina Charities, Inc. We’re excited to have 20 celebrity participants announced including actors Kurt Russell, Oliver Hudson, Cheech Marin, Terry O’Quinn, Michael Pena, Kevin Sorbo, Patrick Warburton and Gary Valentine and actress Paula Trickey; Clemson University Head Football Coach Dabo Swinney; CNN news and weather anchor Rob Marciano; broadcast journalist and Greenville native Jennifer Mills; musicians Pat Green, Joe Don Rooney, Javier Colon, Steve Azar and Branford Marsalis; former NFL Pro Bowler Kordell Stewart, former NFL wide receiver and current NFL analyst Sterling Sharpe; and Apprentice winner Stefanie Schaeffer. When you get your credential, volunteer package and/or OOBE Charity Challenge Foresome through Greer Relief all or some of the proceeds goes to our mission.

- Freedom Blast Children’s Ride & Run: Saturday, July 3rd 7:30 AM - 10 AM. Greer Memorial Hospital System is hosting a duathlon, bike/run race at Greer City Park in conjunction with the City of Greer Freedom Blast event. The race is open to children 5 - 8 & 9 - 12 years old. Activities will be provided by Greer Memorial Hospital, SSI and the Greenville Triathlon Club. Preregistration is available for $5 per child until June 25th at www.cityofgreer.org/FreedomBlastRideandRun.aspx T-shirts are only guaranteed for pre-registered participants.
- Hunger Awareness: June—August, School is coming to an end which means more meals are needed at home...let’s stock the food pantry and keep our kids in the Greater Greer community from starving!
- School Supply Giveaway: Late July—Early August. Join Greer Relief in our efforts to ensure that educational supplies are provided at no cost for students from families who cannot afford to purchase them. Help us by donating essential school supplies (e.g. crayons, pencils, notebooks, folders)
- Wing Fling: Thursday, September 9th, 6:00 PM-10:00 PM, Trade Street. Volunteer and Have fun helping us raise much needed funds! More information to follow late June.

Postal Food Drive: Saturday, May 8th, the largest food drive of the year. Postal Workers from Greer collected enough food to fill a small U-Haul. THANK YOU GREER FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE FOOD PANTRY!
