Greer Restaurant to Feed Needy at Thanksgiving |

(Greer, SC) Just as they did last Thanksgiving, Sparta Family Restaurant is opening its doors to feed those in need in the Greer community. Owner, Sam Botros, did not want to see anybody go without a warm meal on the holiday. He will be hosting a free dinner with all the fixings on Thanksgiving Day between the hours of 11 – 2. Only 100 tickets will be given away, those in need should come early to register at Greer Relief and Resources Agency located downtown Greer in the J. Verne Smith Human Resources Center, 202 Victoria Street. Caroline T. Robertson, Executive Director of Greer Relief and Resources is pleased that Greer Relief can assist with the event. She says, “Greer Relief appreciates and thanks Sparta for their generosity. Greer is very blessed with thoughtful community parters.” Sparta Family restaurant is located at 337 Buncombe Road in Greer. Greer Relief and Resources Agency, Inc. was founded in 1938 by a group of caring and concerned citizens. The Emergency Assistance Program provides financial assistance to individuals in crisis for rent, mortgages, power, water, heat and prescriptions. Non-perishable canned goods and clothing are also available as needed.
